Inspired to have a go & brew your own Springtime Wild Teas!? Before you head out, we just wanted to run through the key do’s & dont’s of foraging again:

Foraging for Wild Teas – The Basics

AVOID picking & eating:

  • Diseased, dying or sick material. Warning signs include any foliage that’s yellow or brown in colour.
  • Plants contaminated by chemical spraying, roadside pollution or dog/animal mess (avoid picking alongside popular paths below dog pee height)
  • Anything that you’re not 100% sure you’ve identified correctly.

MAKE SURE:

  • You get the landowners permission to pick any material from private land
  • You don’t overpick. Leave the majority of the leaves/flowers/berries for wildlife & move around to pick from different areas.

Please note: Two Green Shoots & its staff cannot be held responsible for any illness or injury caused by your foraging, collecting &/or eating/drinking of plant materials.
